What I found interesting is that many people believe that the Civil War
began in the McLean's front yard.

Yes, I remembered this anecdote from the PBS
Civil War series.
Damned if I could remember his name...

I also remembered the Burns PBS s pecial. I also remembered the farmer's name because one of the neighboring farmers when I was growing up had a similar name.

This was one of those Civil War trivia nuggest that I learned about in elementary school that stuck with me all those years. It would have been a nice question to have had in my stack, unlike those pesky flag questions.
