Speculation???

Do others think that this week could have a big $$$ winner since it is not technically a "specialty show" week as they told me they were airing? Given the falling confetti viewed recently and the rearranging of the schedule, what do all of you think? Others have alluded it to this in other posts as well.

That confetti would have been more recent that the shows on now.

I am not going to speculate; I will tell you why.

When my show was shuffled to air 3 weeks later than originally planned, it was moved to sweeps. A lot of people speculated that I was a big money winner. I was not...well I mean I think 25k is a lot but it's not uncommon. It actually made me feel bad because I knew I didn't and then the comments just spiral and I would think to myself...wow these people sure are going to be let down when they find out I'm not.

I can't speak for others but I didn't like the guessing with respect to amount...if they guessed lower I thought people had no confidence in me...if they guessed higher I felt like a loser who should have won more.

Also 2 people from our tape date were shuffled into a specialty week because the specialty week needed an additional day. So couples week ran something like M - F then the first segment of the following Monday. Those two from my tape date had nothing to do with that week...they just fit with the remainder of that episode.

Also Rob saw confetti fall at one point, yet no one in my season won the million. They say it hangs in the rafters and falls from time to time. I will speculate on this - I think they add some to fall to create buzz to keep people watching.

I'm not trying to discourage or naysay, it would be awesome if there was a big winner. But it's awesome for all the people who get on the show, regardless of the number!!!

Reminds me of the classic tale of SSS's Hot Seat run 7 years ago.... though in that case, he was the one guilty of generating all the pre-show hype only to result in a big letdown.... which as I recall, made a lot of people a bit unhappy....

But at least we all know how many rows of stars are on the flag now. I had never paid attention....

And your warning about getting our expectations up for any particular contestant are legitimate, sunflower. However, TPTB must have had some reason for switching around two weeks of show, when it caused an obvious continuity problem of breaking up a carryover appearance. This is sweeps month, and the obvious reason for moving one show into sweeps is that there's a big winner coming up. ("Big" can be relative, though, not necessarily a millionaire.)

I suppose there could be just a really entertaining talk show guest on this week.

I, for one, would prefer that TPTB never play these segment shuffling games. But TPTB don't listen to me.
