Lyrically Speaking Day 3 - 11/09/08

LYRICALLY SPEAKING Day 3
Today's game, which will close TUESDAY at NOON, is going to be split into two halves.
In the first half, you'll get a standard LS game (give me the title and artist, 1 point each). No underlying thread, no connection between songs, and no outside help, as usual. I'm sure you don't really care, but of these, #3 is my favorite.
In the second half, you're going to see 10 RECENT songs (from the last 10 years or so). However, since many of these will be RIDICULOUSLY difficult for some people, you are free to use any resource you like (your own music collection, phone your 18-year-old cousin, even google to your heart's content) EXCEPT peeking at other peoples' papers, please. BUT THEN, WITHOUT OUTSIDE SOURCES, you need to pair up the songs in Part II using a Tangredi, or system which you must determine for yourself. You'll only get 1 point for each artist/title combo, but then 1 point for each correct pair.
Some of you may wish to attack Part II without outside sources, and this is to be encouraged. So if you choose to go that way, preface your PART II answers with "I DIDN'T GOOGLE" and I'll give you 2 bonus points.
