I just got home from a Library Conference and they had reading dogs there. Among them was a beautiful greyhound Honey who was the star of the program.
She's a gentle, patient soul who listens to children who are reluctant readers. Children who won't read to other children or adults will volunteer to read to dogs. It was an amazing video to watch and Honey was on stage with several of her co-volunteers from a local organization.

they've written a book about a greyhound rescued from racing as well.
I got sloppy kisses too!

Oh, I'm so glad. I'm happy you got to meet Honey. Aren't those wet kisses the best? (Well, except when you're not expecting them....)
I will keep my eyes open for the book. I'm sure I know a kidoodle or two who would like it as much as I would.

I went to the library yesterday and found the books. They are truly delightful.
I found out the dogs are coming to a school near me in a few weeks. I'm going to see if I can sneak over and view them in action
and see if I can get a few pix for Annie!

Oh, thank you, Miss Lily.
We who are given much must give back. (I hope I don't sound snooty when I use the royal "we.")
