Since the new rules allow a maximum of 7.5 minutes for her to ponder her answers, she'd have to be very chatty with Meredith and the day's expert!

Not necessarily. It would take a while to clean up the confetti, tape all those promos, discuss what she was gonna do with the money, etc.MarleysGh0st wrote:[I don't see anything spoilerish in your comment, so I won't put spoiler tags on my reply.]minimetoo26 wrote:Not a threat this time

I didn't say it had to be spoilerish to play with the spoiler tags!

Or Rovian Pod Person. Beast is annoyed with all my MMing lately, plus I have to hunt down avatars and type in my fake email twice and there's four different places to set the avatar, signature, preferences, etc etc etc and I'm too lazy to even log in The Carp who should have taken over today and yesterday....MarleysGh0st wrote:Eh. Where? In gsabc's birthday thread you said you were baking him a cake, but you did NOT respond to my question about it being his birthday.minimetoo26 wrote:I've already mentioned it in two different threads, though!![]()

You might have simply been baking him a cake because he's your favorite and you spoil him!

Or if he were, not these dyas what with him forgetting EVERYthing (like turning in absence notes and bringing home his jacket).MarleysGh0st wrote:Double digits! I just got an email--Stephen's school is closing because of a water main break, so he'll be home early. Yay!!!

Not to discourage, but I guess that happened on my second day too. I think they do it on purpose to keep people guessing!! Rob thought for sure that one of the couples (couples day taped in between my first and second tape date) won a million, so we watched....nothing.

Re: Rafferty Barnes is up!
I just wanted to say a few things that I can say. Thank you, AD for sitting by the phone for two days. My grandmother came down from the Hudson Valley the night before and spent the night with me at the hotel. I haven't seen her since my brother's wedding in May, so it was really great to get to spend some time with me. She just retired in February, so she's really enjoying getting to do things on the spur of the moment like this.
I almost had too much time in the morning. Grandma and I took a cab to the studio at 10 and I sent her off to get some coffee for an hour. I got to see all the people waiting to take the test. I told them I was going to be on the show today and that they should all cheer really hard for me when I got on. They wished me good luck.
Soon the other three contestants showed up. Barbara got really excited to see the waiting test takers, because she took the test in New York. "I just can't believe I made it from there to here," she said. She was so excited, even though this was our second time out. Everyone said they had checked out the Bored (lurkers all!), and one person in particular said it had proven useful. I didn't get to see anyone else play, so I'll be tuning in June to see how they did.
We all went upstairs and this time got to be the ones to break the hearts of the new contestants. This time they had steak and potatoes for lunch, so I made sure to grab some of that. I didn't get a chance to talk to all of the new people, but they all seemed very nice and excited to be there.
I wondered if I would go first since I was on deck the week before. They told me that not necessarily, but in this case it was true. I was going to go as soon as the returning person finished. I got made up and went downstairs. I was worried that Clem21 wasn't going to make it, since he had a midterm and said he wouldn't be able to come until 12:30. But just before the show he came in. They put him in the back, since it would be confusing for the audience at home to see a recent contestant sitting in the family and friends section.
They also sat some latecomers next to me on deck. I turned to them and told them I was going on next, and that they had a good seat. My producer stepped in and said "You're really not supposed to talk to each other." They take the isolation of contestants very seriously.
The producer told my Grandma that Meredith might talk to her. I had told her this several times in the last week, and she seemed okay with it, but in the studio she gasped and said "I can't talk on television!" So when I got into the HS, a producer came up to Meredith and said "Don't talk to her grandmother. She doesn't want to talk." I thought that was hilarious.
After I finished, Clem21, Grandma and I walked around for a while. Clem21 had to go, and Grandma and I went to the Arte Cafe, thanks to Frogman42's recommendation. It was quite good. I was able to change my train ticket to an earlier time, and sleep in my own bed rather than the airport that night. Then at 5 a.m. my husband drove me to the airport so I could fly to Mobile, AL for my friend's wedding. That was also very fun.
I got back from that midnight on Sunday. Last night I slept for 10 hours, and I don't want to leave Baltimore for the rest of the month, at least.
My episode will tentatively air on June 15th. If anyone lives in Rochester, NY, you might see a promo from me on that station.

I'm from Farmington, near Canandaigua Lake. So I'm in the Rochester viewing area, but not from the city proper.
