Cheap Bastard Update

LNT now has huge signs hanging all over the store that say "10% - 40% off". I saw nothing over 20% off. Most everything has now moved to 20%, I'd say my quick once over figured about 1/4 of the inventory was still at 10%.

Not much looks very picked over, mostly just the big clear bins in the middle of aisle in front of the registers where they put the little gadgets and hand towels and the like. So either they have/had a shitload of inventory in the back that they keep bringing out or not that many people are exceptionally thrilled with 10-20% off.

At least they're getting there. They're now at the point where most of their stuff is the % off that you could get any time previously with a coupon. I'll check back next week to see how things are progressing.

Half the time I bought stuff there, I ended up returning it so I will have to be careful!

I went to Michael's the other day, in a plaza with LNT and saw people coming out with full carts of stuff. I wanted to say, suckers, you would have been better off at Bed, Bath and Beyond with a coupon! But I didn't.

I just keep stocking up on BB&B coupons, planning for the apocalypse (apocalypse = day that BB&B no longer sends out coupons every 2 weeks!)

Emma and I went to LNT and found a cranberry plush blanket with sherpa wool on the other side. It was absolutely the perfect gift for a certain dude who loves soft blankets. It was 30% off. The store that I went to still has a lot of stuff left.

That sounds really nice! I'm a sucker for blankets, the softer they are, the more likely I am to buy them!

I realized this finally during my tag sale this week, as I unloaded a box of throw blankets...

If you have any extra blankets that didn't sell, you should take them to your nearest Greyhound Rescue facility. Greyhounds love to snuggle in and on soft blankets and towels.

I don't know if we have a greyhound rescue nearby, but I do have a girl I met on Freecycle that I have given carpet remnants and towels to, for a local animal shelter that doesn't get much funding. I was going to call her eventually to come get the leftovers. But I can share the goods! I will see if there is a greyhound rescue nearby. Thanks for the idea!

Yeah I was lucky to find her, I had just posted some carpet remnants on Freecycle and she happened to be the first responder. When she came over she told me what she uses them for so I kept her email address and now go right to her when I (or any of my friends) have those items. She's always so thankful, last time she brought pictures of the dogs chilling on the carpet, it was cute!

I stopped by LNT today. My weekly run to Pets Mart, Sam's and Wallie's usually is all I can take at one time, today I made an exception since Pets Mart and Sam's and LNT's is in the same strip mall sort of layout, if they close I will have to drive another mile to BB&B.

I needed a new tea ball and did not want to miss my chance before they close. Looked to me like nothing much has been sold and Fannie is right, cheap bastards, 10% is a laugh, I did save 40 cents on my tea ball however.
