CBS calls West Virginia for McCain.
Even so....you would be
amazed at the number of Obama supporters among my Clarksburg area Veterans! Guys from back in the hills & hollers, who love God & Guns & all that good stuff, who you would
think would have gone for McCain? Nope! A lot of them despise Bush, & recognize the Iraq war for the misbegotten fiasco it is, and don't want their sons & daughters & nieces & nephews in harm's way for another hundred years (neither do I.)
Veterans for Obama? You Betcha!
And speaking of Veterans? Seems John Murtha won reelection handily -- Foot-In-Mouth disease & all

His most recent ad touts him as "One of Us" -- and every time it's on, we go, "What, a racist? Redneck?" Well, he may be....but he's OUR Redneck! (Well, not *mine* exactly -- I'm in District 14, represented by the nice, uncontroversial Mike Doyle.)
Melissa Heartless (aka Melissa Hart

) just conceded District 4 to Jason Altmire, the guy who put her out of a job 2 years ago.

They will all be out of work. I guess they will have to eat coal. They certainly won't be able to sell any, that's for sure. But that's O.K. for them, they'll have Not Bush in the White House.

I left at 7:50 to pick up Maddie from school. At 8:00 there was an announcement that the polls had closed in CA. By 8:01 NPR was calling Obama. At least they waited for California's polls to close.
