I forgot to mention that there was a resolution to Emma's battles with Jesus, the lunch monitor.
Emma's principal didn't like the fact that kids who were being "punished" for missing homework got a special perk of going to the front of the line. Now they have to wait until the line dies down to get their food. (Or bring their lunches.) Also they now realize that the line isn't being watched properly so Jesus was told to make sure that nobody is allowed to cut for any reason.
Emma is happy.

LOL! I also had initially forgotten about the lunch guy, so I was curious about what kind of story would involve Emma and the Messiah.

That was my opinion of the situation. Hurrah for the principal!
And hurrah for Emma!

She's a very good principal. I knew that she would fix the problem.
