What network will you watch tonight?

Just curious about your favorite election night network, which may or may not coincide with your favorite news network.

We watch ABC mostly, but George Stephanopoulos is starting to grate on me for some reason. I may spend some time online with CNN.com and/or channel flipping.

BTW, networks, the bells and whistles of the graphics, touch-screens and other crap is distracting, not informative. If you have no real data, I don't need or want pretty pictures to make your speculation seem knowledgeable. Just shut up about it.

FoxNews, of course.

I will watch MSNBC, but I will have an Internet window open to CNN.com.

I'll probably switch the TV over to Foxed News once in a while just to see if Sean Hannity's giant blow-dried head explodes once it becomes apparent that Obama will win the White House.

I will be fair, I will not watch Fox or MSNBC, I want the true picture - not the partisan. So my answer is CNN.

We'll be at someone else'shouse, but my preference is CBS, purely for Jeff Greenfield.

For the love of all that is sanity, take that touchscreen away from Charlie Gibson! Okay, Chuck, drop the telestrator pen and back away slowly and the little guy doesn't get hurt.

I saw him for 5 minutes last night and he made Madden look restrained. I can't wait (not really) to see how jacked he gets when he has something more than conjecture to demonstrate.

LOL! That's exactly how I felt last night, too. He's got a new toy to play with and can't wait to show it off to his friends.

I'll be running my kids around here and there, so until about 9 I'll be listening to CNN on the Sirius radio in my car.

Then I'll settle down to watch probably primarily CNN, but I'll switch back and forth amongst the major networks. Probably not much FoxNews (because of the politics) , and not much MSNBC (not because of their politics, but because DirecTV doesn't carry them in High Def, and I have become an HDTV snob).

The Disney Channel.

We will be channel surfing fools.

We like the election map at CNN, where John King can zero into specific areas of support (or disappointment) for either candidate.

We like the potential of the verbal food fight at MSNBC.

For local results, we will probably look at the local PBS stations (both WHYY in Philadelphia and Channel 23, NJ public television) or the ABC affiliate. There are some interesting state races in both PA and NJ.

I like Jeff Greenfield, too, so we'll look in CBS, too.

Although the idea of going to Fox at the point where Hannity's head could explode is very tempting.

UPDATING WITH TLAF'S RESPONSE:

TLAF just called me. She said she was up to take her medicine and was going to do some wash. She is going to nap this afternoon so she could stay up and watch the results.

She like MSNBC because Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews make her laugh. She also likes the local ABC affiliate.

[I didn't want to get all snarky on my mother by pointing out that she's 91 next week and naps every afternoon.]

She also was excited about voting. Absentee ballot.

I really don't know. I would like for the girls to watch some of the early coverage, but the west coast polls won't close until very late (for them), so we'll have to see. I am sure that when I get a chance to watch the returns by myself, I will aggravate an old thumb injury, sustained by overuse of the channel changing buttons on the remote. This short attention span stuff can be hard to live with.

All the morning news shows today had "breaking
news"
when Obama went to the polls to vote!! Guess they'll do the
same when McCain votes in Arizona. Give me a break! We know the candidates vote, but it's hardly breaking news.

I shudder to think how the election is going to be on any of the stations. All I want to see
is the bottom line - I will not listen to blathering commentators all night long. I feel badly
for those on the west coast. The winner is usually already predicted before some even
get to vote!!

I'm with LB, I'll find a nice alternative to any news tonight.

I will not be watching anything. I will be watching stuff saved on my DVR from previous nights, I think maybe Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives.

I will watch the Today show tomorrow morning to find out who won, once it is final. Knowing it at any stage of the process is kind of worthless to me...all that matters is the final call. Plus it's not the same without Tim Russert. :(

It looks like ESPN is showing some NBA crap and the World Series of Poker tonight.

I admit, better than listening to the networks, but still......

I'll stick with my music.....

I'll probably start with ABC, but I'll channel surf as needed. I'd like to see real numbers, not talking heads commentary.

Isn't anyone gonna tune in to our broadcast?

Oh, wait. We go off the air at 6:00....

Then again, we have some fine quality static that sounds better than listening to netowrk election coverage....

ESPN2 has college football. Miami of Ohio vs. Buffalo.
