Recession

I heard on the radio earlier today that 30 states were already in a recession and that 19 others were getting close to recession status. The one state that didn't fall into either of those categories is Alaska. They must have a wonderful governor up there in Alaska...

I hear a lot of things on the radio. Some are even true.
Since when is "recession status" figured on a state-by-state basis?
Alaska has got to be suffering from the drop in the price of oil. I guess if Palin was really doing her job it would be back at $150 per barrel.

Since you're a conservative, why would you say this?
Isn't the conservative mantra that people drive the economy, not government?
That said, puhleeeze. The sate has gobs and gobs of oil.
I could be governor, and Alaska wouldn't be in a recession.

They DO keep stats on state economic growth, you know.
