Stuff about Zap!

Stuff about Zap!
Zap was a very good boy for Halloween. The girls were both at parties, so Zap, Jeff and I handed out candy. Zap greeted people in his Bee costume until our neighbor's autistic daughter, who *loves* Zap, ran into the house and chased Zap up the stairs while wearing a Zebra costume. After that incident he would go to the door and only peek around the corner to see the kids. He wanted to be involved in what was going on, but was very wary of the kids.
I registered Zap as my pet with the National Greyhound Association. In looking at his pedigree, I realized that one of the dogs that we know from Hemopet, Willow, is his first cousin and she was born the same month and year as Zap. (Their mothers are full sisters.) Also another dog who is at Hemopet, Monica, is Zap's aunt. She was born four months before Zap, but her father is Zap's Paternal Grandfather.
The girls and I volunteered at Hemopet on Sunday. I have to change my clothes when I get home, because Zap doesn't seem to like smell of other dogs on my clothes. Art is still there and Emma spent close to an hour cuddling with him on the couch. He seemed to really miss her.
Also, the cats are feeling comfortable enough to sleep in my room. Last night Jasper slept at the end of the bed, while Lucy slept on the ground. Lucy has napped on my bed near Zap. Lily still sleeps in Maddie's room because Maddie is her person.

I feel sorry for Art. Are you sure you can't give him Emma in trade for Zap?

On the other hand, she has taught Zap to fetch. She will toss his favorite bear across the hall, he will run and bring it back to her. She says "drop" and he does, instantly.
