A wonderfully quiet weekend - no crises or issues to deal with, just the opportunity to enjoy some nice weather. elwing and I did some driving in the country (not much to see leaf color-wise, unfortunately) and even did a picnic lunch. Our third son and his wife celebrated their one-year anniversary by going to Mammoth Cave and taking the 6.5 hour walking tour.

Happy anniversary to your son and daughter-in-law!

Mammoth Cave is great, although I wouldn't have thought of recommending it for an anniversary!

They're more the outdoorsy type than I am (I wouldn't have thought about doing that, either).

It's much better than driving to LA to audition for a Game Show for your anniversary only to find out that a relative works on the show, so you can't be on it.

The game show audition could have been very romantic if your cousin hadn't ruined everything!
