I saw my first Obama and anti-Obama ads this morning

I was expecting to be deluged with political ads from all three states this season like I was four years ago. I've seen remarkably few. I just saw the first Obama and anti-Obama ads this morning. The Obama ad was all about taxes and the economy and the anti-Obama ad was all about Rev. Wright - it didn't even mention McCain - and was by the RNC.

Do you make enough that your taxes will go up under Obama's plan?

The RNC has been running ads in the River City but they're trying to reach voters in southern Indiana, a state which is still in play, unlike Kentucky. The one that has run the longest is the "Untested" ad, the one that says something about his first crisis being in "this chair" (meaning the presidency). Not until yesterday did they drag out the Wright video.

Everyone who pays taxes will see an increase under Senator Obama's plan in 2010, when he lets the latest set of tax cuts expire.

That's not what he's said he plans on doing. He'd reinstate them for those families who earn less than $250K.

Shouldn't the universe have exploded?

Not that its any of your business, but...its none of your business.

If I do, the Obama tax plan is stealing from me and giving to many who didn't earn it.

If I don't, the Obma tax plan is stealing for someone else and giving it to me, who didn't earn it.

Its about principle, and proper economics. Not what I make, or don't.

I believe the IRS has been doing this for years.

Somewhat, but only at the direction of the congress and president. No candidate, well, no viable candidate, for US President has been so open about his intentions of stealing from the sucessful. Make no mistake, Obama will ruin the economy if he gets his way.

I haven't been watching TV, so I haven't seen commercials.

I have noticed a lot of people standing on corners waving "Yes on 8" signs.

Today there were a bunch of teenagers standing on corners waving "No on 8" signs.

The anti-Obama is actually from the National Rebublican Trust PAC. (What an oxymoron!)

I saw that one last night during the SNL Election Eve Bash.

It's hard to tell a real political commercial from one of the SNL skits, during that show.
