Postcard of Death

#1 Post by Odyssey » Thu Nov 15, 2007 2:46 pm

I got mine today. Two and a half weeks to the day. I can't say I'm surprised, but I am still upset. Strike two.

Bastards. Don't let them take your dream.

Bummer. I can certainly sympathize. As a professional in quality, though, I choose to look at it as part of my "continuous improvement" efforts. Or as Bullwinkle puts it: "This time for sure!"

Meanwhile, I need to fill out that "Million Dollar Password" application.

Sorry, Odyssey. Welcome back to the club that none of us want to belong to. :(

And now, IIRC, we don't have any other BB waiting for a PC, so the season is officially over for us.

I appreciate the sympathy and empathy very much. I'm already thinking Super Password, but I need help with that celebrity question. My favorite celebrity is actually Lawrence LLewelyn-Bowen of UK Changing Rooms fame. He cracks me up. I know that is not going to play well. I don't have my finger on the pulse of mainstream America.

My real favorites are either old or dead. Same issue as yours with the currently popular folks, although Rowan Atkinson and John Cleese come to mind from the UK set. Drew Carey is a possibility, and he is presently on a CBS show ...

I am sorry that you got the nasty card from Syndie BAM.

I hope that you know, that you are NOT alone, and in pretty good company!

Best of luck next time Odyssey :)

Sorry for the bad news. It's very hard to know what they're thinking.

Thank you all for the encouragement. It means a lot. Not everyone understands the visionquest to be on a trivia type game show. I know you all do. I haven't yet given up. I'm feeling better about the whole thing tonight--went to trivia night at a local bar and our team won. I'll take my consolations where I can get them! I'm a twentyfiveaire!
