Once in a while my computer fan goes on and it sounds like it is working hard. When it is doing this, this is the activity that is going on in the processes:
System Idle Process and the CPU is at 65ish.
What is up with that?

System Idle Process is the percentage of CPU cycles that are not in use at any given moment. So, your CPU was only 35% engaged when you saw that.
Depending on the computer, fans can rev up when the workload increases or running temperature crosses a certain threshold. Probably not anything to worry about.
