You're a mean one, Ms. Halloween Grinch (political)

I'd told myself I'd stay in the Moratorium Lounge, but this just made me freakin' mad.
One McCain supporter in the Detroit area seems to have taken those anti-Obama "redistribution of candy" jokes a little too seriously. She proclaimed to all trick-or-treaters on Halloween that no children of Obama supporters (or "liars" or "tricksters") would be getting any candy from her. Those children from families who did support Obama were turned away empty-handed and, in some cases, crying. When confronted about this, the woman said, "Oh well, everybody has a choice" -- apparently including kids who are way too young to vote.

I know this is a rhetorical question, but WTF was this woman thinking? That denying candy to children would actually drum up support for McCain? Or is she just thinking with her "angry glands" like so many people these days? Sheesh!
(Fortunately this was an isolated incident, as all the other neighbors, presumably on both sides of the political divide, gave out plenty of candy. And yes, I understand that she is in no way representative of McCain supporters in general, most of whom are decent people just like most Obama supporters.)
