I am feeling better and worse in waves, which is sort of normal, I think. When I first read this post, right after you had put it here, all I wanted to do was go back to bed. I couldn't, because I had to pick up Rusty from the kennel before it closed at 2 p.m. and take him back to his house. Now that I have been out and about, I'm feeling better, so I have postponed the bed-going-back-to for later consideration.

Do you have the head cold crud? That's what I have. I feel like rat rot. I keep doing bits of work in stages and then sit and do a crossword with Jeff, but my mind is all fluffy.

I am out of the loop as to what happened with Rusty and the kennel and I love that I am seeing stuff about Rusty again.

I consider him part of the family.

Me, too. I love that dog, but he and Annie will never again be together. It's possible -- maybe even probable -- that nothing would ever happen between them again, but I will not take that chance.

The girls at the kennel became quite taken with him this weekend, too. He was behind the front desk, "helping," when I came to pick him up. They told me he behaved like an absolute gentleman and was "the best dog to take for walks ever."
