Comes with Aging?

I wanted to wear this necklace I haven't worn in ages. I went to put it on and could not get the little round thingie to go into the other little round thingie. Every time I got both end to come together behind my head, the open round thingie would close.
I remember being able to do that when I was younger.
Does one lose fine motor skills as one ages?
I left the house not wearing the necklace.

That's what men are for.

Whenever my wife or oldest daughter have to put on a necklace, they do the clasp in the front and then move the necklace around to its proper position.

I'm pretty sure she wasn't talking about that little round thingie.

2 words: Clever Clasp

I got it about 6 months ago -- worth every penny! Something that actually works "as seen on TV!" What'll they think of next.

Okay - but...... is it because I am older?
Why could I do it years ago and I can't do it now?
I can do the bigger ones - but not those little ones any more.

I've had trouble the past few times I tried to do a clasp also.
I will postulate that we are losing muscle in our forearms, as that seems to be what holds those springs open while we try to fit one doohickey into the other.
So get a tennis ball and squeeze it while you watch TV or even while you run. See if a couple of weeks of that makes that clasp stay open longer. Let us know.

For me, since I'm right handed, I have to make sure the clasp is on the left side so I can use my right hand to guide the "round thingie" onto the open clasp. It seems to work better that way for me anyway.
