Freedom of the Press Obama Style

#1 Post by silverscreenselect » Fri Oct 31, 2008 12:06 pm

The Washington Times, New York Post and Dallas Morning News, three major newspapers in large metropolitan areas that have recently endorsed John McCain have been booted off the Obama campaign plane.

Supposedly it's to make room for Jet and Essence Magazine.

That's after a growing list of local TV stations that have apparently been blacklisted from interviewing Obama or Biden. You can guess how access to the press will be handled during an Obama presidency.

Good for Obama for kicking out the Moonies' "Washington Times" and Murdoch's "New York Post". Those two newspapers make s**t up anyway, so what does it matter if they're on Obama's plane or not?

I wouldn't even use those two newspapers as toilet paper, much less as reading material.

Doesn't matter if the press has access ...

... if all you hear are lies. Can you say, weapons of mass destruction, Mr. Bush?

Interesting.

My next door neighbor is the gent who was exposed for making up stories for the New York Times. He worked there for a fair amount of time before being exposed.

But it's only media outlets that you don't like that are dishonest, right?

I'm assuming I just haven't gotten to the point in your post where you mention that the McCainiacs booted Joe Klein (of Time Magazine) and Maureen Dowd (of the NY Times) off their plane earlier this year?

You can guess how access to the press will be handled during a McCain presidency.
There is something wrong in a government where they who do the most have the least. There is something wrong when honesty wears a rag, and rascality a robe; when the loving, the tender, eat a crust while the infamous sit at banquets.

Wow. You need to look at a current ballot.
..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

War is where the government tells you who the bad guy is.
Revolution is when you decide that for yourself.
