'Til Death Now Is

Fox has cancelled low rated second year comedy 'Til Death which starred Brad Garrett as a harried husband. This is a show that was questionable for renewal to begin with, and now becomes the fourth series of the season to get the ax. It will be replaced by House reruns (its 9:00 Wednesday leadin Do Not Disturb was cancelled earlier) for the near future.
There's a bunch more cancellations on the horizon. The networks were forced to renew a lot of borderline series because the writer's strike resulted in fewer new projects being available last spring. The networks rolled the dice and hoped that these series could get better audiences this season but it doesn't appear to be working.
Also, ABC's Pushing Daisies, which was the only network show airing last night at 8:00 while the other three networks showed the Obama infomercial, finished fourth in the ratings behind all three versions of the Obamafest. None of the other network's individual ratings were particularly high (although collectively they added up to a 17.8 rating, which is very good).
This doesn't bode well for Daisies long term prospects.
