Suitguy is not bitter.
feels he represents the many educated and rational onlookers who believe that the hysterical denouncement of lay scepticism is both unwarranted and counter-productive
The problem, then, is that such calls do not address an opposition audience so much as they signal virtue. They talk past those who need convincing. They ignore actual facts and counterargument. And they are irreparably smug.

blech.
How can you say such hateful things about my sweet brother.
Actually, my brother and I get along very well. I know he's a huge lib and I respect that because he respects that I am a huge conservative. We never try to sling crap around each other. We both understand that our country is built on a wealth of ideas. We just don't want each others side to be in power. It's all about the respect, my friend. Chris Matthews and Nelly don't know zip squat about respect.

I purposefully did not watch it. If I wanted to watch someone I detest tell me lies, I'd just put in a Michael Moore movie. But it is interesting to hear that an Obama supporter wishes he hadn't done the infomercial. I can think of quite a few things that McCain's campaign has done that I wish he hadn't.

But I did watch the pilot episode of "Obama" last night. I'll be looking for it to get picked up in January as the mid-season replacement for the soon-to-be canceled sitcom "That's My Bush!"

I watched parts of it, since it was almost unavoidable if you were waiting for baseball. I did see the little girl had a HELLO KITTY RUG!!! So, yay for her spreading the message of HK throughout the land!
I try to make my kids be informed consumers, so we've hammered home the point of commercials and political flyers and all--if someone paid for something, they are only telling you what they want you to hear. They are trying to sell you something. So whether or not it is something you want to buy or want to hear, don't get all your information from paid content.
I'm really not one for drinking Kool-Aid. Even if I like the flavor.

I let Stephen taste O'Douls when we had some here for a guest so he could see just how nasty it was. Between that and the Communion wine experience, I don't have to worry about him getting into beer or wine too soon. Just those Mike's Hard Lemonades and other sweet drinks the younger set favors...littlebeast13 wrote:That is why I usually don't get up until 8:00 anyway. So he would be O.K. with Ford taking Robert Kerns idea of the intermittent wipers and using it without paying him for it.Tocqueville3 wrote:We both understand that our country is built on a wealth of ideas.
Ford needed the idea wealth and Kearns didn't.
Funny, I would think a lib would be against that.
