He is so cute! He's walking so good for 10 months. Your house must be really baby proofed now.


Olivia wanted nothing to do with being upright at 10 months. Now, she is practically sprinting everywhere.

I'll have to second what Tocque said. For a first child, Frankie really is getting around on his feet!

I always check your site to see if you have posted new pics, but this is even better!

Also fun to see that he has that same fascination with phones that my toddler does.

Olivia would rather play with David's blackberry than any other toy in the house. Whenever we go out to eat we usually resort to locking the keys on it and letting her play with it. I've tried giving her my iPhone but she doesn't like it cuz it doesn't have keys. Besides, my iPhone is my toy and she can't play with it!!

My littlest has found a new toy

the in-door fridge water dispenser.

Up until this week, I never had thought about having to using the "locK' feature on the dispenser. Then, I walked into the kitchen to find her, standing tippy-toes, with a large cup in her hand, getting water.

I had been thinking that we had lucked out a bit with this one, seeing how Princess Peanut would climb onto the counters and get food out of the cabinets before she was 18 months.

Yeah, right. We do what we can. He's well supervised. But every day there's a new thing we wouldn't have thought was a danger. Our freezer's a tight fit, and last night while I was loading groceries into it last night I knocked a jar of baby food out. The little monkey had crawled right between my legs without me noticing and got socked in the head. I can't decide if the bruise is visible in the video or not.

Almost true, but not quite. They're babies' favorites except for Things That Can Kill Them. If he put the same amount of energy into other things that he puts into trying to play with cords and electrical outlets, he'd be done with college by now.

We have 4 identical remotes for our one DirecTV receiver. Whenever you get a warranty replacement they tell you to keep the remote. So Frankie's got his own remote (though, ironically, since he's not allowed to see the tv while it's on he never sees mommy and daddy using THAT remote)

Thanks. I never think anybody actually looks at that page. And apologies that I'm seriously remiss in posting there. I keep thinking that after the election I'll have more time, but really after the election I'll have to catch all the work that is my normal job that we've been putting aside for the last 2 months (and the six months of half-time paternal leave before that).

As for the phone, I really recommend the model he has - I think Margy got it from Parents magazine. The thing I like about it is that after you close it, it rings. Not right away - there's a delay of 4 seconds, just long enough that he sometimes forgets about it. And if you open it while it's still ringing, it makes a noise ("Want to go play", "I love you sooooo much", dial tone or busy signal). He doesn't have the dexterity to open it himself so he hands it over and then expects it back, which is a fun game.

Also, he thinks EVERYTHING is a phone. Yesterday he picked up a clean pair of my socks and held it up to his ear and started babbling. There are the things you get on camera and the things you wish you had on camera.
