I was expecting a baby-related post. Something along the lines of a first tooth, walking, or anything in the "she is growing up too fast" genre. :D

I wasn't ready for summer to end, but I never really am. I like it HOT!

I guess I have to get Erin some new shoes. Crocs n socks looks too geeky for the diva, even if it's warm enough and she can easily put them on herself.

It snowed here in Chicago yesterday. My daughter said kids on the bus opened the windows and stuck their tongues out to catch the snow. It only lasted for 10 minutes, but it is still too early. Um , where is global warming?

Your Norwegian-American baby needs to be accustomed to long winters--it's part of her heritage!

Those sweaters weren't invented for the summer, you know!

Oy, I wish she'd go ahead and pop a tooth already! She's been having teething symptoms in random spurts for weeks now. And really freaking close to crawling.

I agree. Crocks n socks are better for the neo-hippy campfire set, I think.

Oh sure, but I'd like another month of picnic weather first, please!

Global warming is in CA. I don't think there has been much more than about a 20 degree temp difference since June. Most of the summer was in the low 70's-80's with a bit above and a bit below on occasion. That has continued all the way through October. It was in the low 80's last week and high 60's this week. The only change in sight is perhaps some rain (desperately needed) on Fri./Sat. I love hot weather, but I love having my fireplace going too so I'm looking for a change. Wanna trade?

There's a frost warning for this area tonight and tomorrow.
It's really early for something like that around here!

Is that a Dale of Norway sweater she has on? I bought the "Olympia" at Epcot manymanymany moons ago (at least 11 years) and it's indestructable! And beautiful.

No...we have some adult Dale sweaters, but the one Nina has on in the photo was hand-knitted for her by a family friend of NN's. :D

Likewise.

Looking at the subject line, I was expecting more of an "another bun in the oven"-type post.........
