Anyone else notice that the star, Simon Baker, was the gay actor who had his throat cut in L.A. Confidential, Matt Reynolds (as Simon Baker Denny)?

No, but I have ejoyed the 2 episodes I have watched.

Baker had a long running TV series on CBS, The Guardian, as a top notch lawyer convicted of drug offenses and sentenced to community service at a legal aid clinic (in one of those "only in TV" situations, he kept his Bar membership).

Simon Baker has been married for a while and has 2 or 3 kids. He
was not the gay actor. He did
play one, though. A writer should be able to convey the distinction.
