They are all gone!

At least for a few hours.
Boys1111 are going to the UConn football game.
Daughter1111 is at soccer referee-ing and needs a ride to the band bus for Marching Band States, but other than that, I am alone!
Other than a quick drive to soccer-band-grocery store, my time is my own for about 6 hours.
Sadly, my biggest plan is to FINALLY get my kitchen in order. It would make so much of my daily life easier, I am willing to invest the quality alone time to get it done. But I will not be washing the kitchen floor. I hate doing that.
There will be some sewing time built into the laundry chores, since I can combine pleasure with neccessity. And my autumn quilt is on the design wall waiting for some attention!
We will be having tailgate type food for dinner since there is a big game on tonight.
A fire in the fireplace later!
Autumn in New England is beautiful!

Shortly, I will start working in my future craft room/office.
Unloading the bookcase so that we can carry it into the the BR, its temporary home. Once the craft office is done, we can get the stuff that belongs there out of the spare BR and finally get the bed into the spare BR. The rest of the furniture is there but my desk is when the bed ought to be.
Our target was October. We were under the delusion we could do it ourselves.
Once we move the bookcase, we will have friends and relatives over for a couple of please-work-and-we-will-feed-you-chili parties. One for emptying out the rest of the room and the other for painting (primer and two coats of Sherwin-Williams' French Vanilla).
It took a long time to decided on a color scheme. The inspriration piece (too much HGTV, melly. Step away from the TV) was an afghan that my grandmother crocheted for our LR in 1969.
The French Vanilla is the palest color in the afghan, which has salmon/pinky coral, rust and turquoise. I already have baskets and boxes in salmon, rust and turquoise so it works.
We REALLY hope to have everything done by Christmas, so TLAF will have a place to stay. We have a family wedding on December 27.
But, it all starts with the bookcase.

Sounds like a fabu day! Enjoy your quiet time. It sounds heavenly.
David took the two big girls to the park and I just put Olivia down for her nap. Sweet silence. I would be watching Food Network right now but all I am getting is audio on that one channel and there's a new episode of Barefoot Contessa coming on in a little while. Grrrr...
Game time for us is at 2:30. So our house will get loud til about 6pm.
I think i'm gonna make some beef veggie soup for dinner. I've got everything for said soup but the meat and I need a good excuse to go to the grocery store.
I wish it was cool enough here for a fire in the fire place. It's supposed to be 70 degrees here today.

Spring about a hundred bucks for a floor steamer. You'll never dread cleaning the kitchen
floor again. All it takes is water in the tank and an electric outlet for the steamer.
When you're done, take the pad off and throw it in the washer.
