So I voted today but.... (non-partisan)

I had to wait in line for 2 hours!!!

Two computers were down and the line was long. The turnout was fantastic though for the first day of early voting.

I feel good that I did my civic duty. I encourage all Americans on the bored, regardless of their party affiliation to get out and VOTE!

Tim :)

I always exercise my franchise, lest it become flabby. We have taught our children to do the same. BD should be receiving her absentee ballot within the next day or two. We have encouraged HS to register at his new official city of residence.

Unlike you, though, we have to wait until November 4th to vote in person. MA hasn't gotten up to speed with multi-day or weekend voting. And it's still "fill in the oval" paper ballots.

I envy those of you who live in states where you have more than one day to vote.

Come November 4, it is going to be very crowded in New York polling places.

SWMBO and I voted last Friday.

Obama may not win Illinois, but, he is not going to be shut out.

I fiugre the early voting demand to be like a valley. Peaks early, then wanes, then peaks towards the end. So I plan on going Thursday or Friday this week.

No more hanging chads :) . Now Miami-Dade is using fill in the oval ballots. You fill in the oval and then you scan it into a computer. Interesting process.

Call it a hunch, but I got a feeling the axe will not be allowed in the polling venue.

This is how we voted. We had the choice of using a touchscreen.

I hope I remember to leave it in the car. If I have to set it outside by the door, I KNOW it will get taken. Probably by the same dude who copped my McCain/Pailin sign.

The problem with those is that idiots put a check or X in the ovals. :(

Well you will always have them no matter what the process. I believe the machine kicks it back if it can not recognize the selection.
