I saw SNL and I have no idea what you are talking about. Care to elaborate?

Yeah, me too. What do you mean? I thought Palin was funny.

I don't know what you mean, Bob. I watched SNL, and I saw a llama in the background early in the show. Later on, there was a donkey. I played the show again on the DVR, and they both looked like real animals.

What's the difference between Governor Palin and Bob J?

She's still relevant and has a job.*

*See, anything can be fair game if you really want to go down this road. It's beneath you to do so. Did you make the same comments when Gore, Clinton x 2, or any other candidate appeared on SNL? No, only one person that I'm pretty sure you've never met and don't know.

All sniping aside, I still don't understand this thread.

Did Governor Palin appear on SNL last night or not?

Yes.

And she did a good job of being funny and good natured about the whole thing.

The opening skit had Fey playing Palin, being told by Alec Baldwin that Palin was there, Fey scurries off, passing Palin.

The resemblance (sp?) is uncanny.

Pretty decent show actually.

Who, Palin or Tina Fey?

SNL did good by Palin, even to where she was standing.

In her scene with Michaels and Baldwin, she was in the center of the shot, directly facing the camera. The cue cards are held directly beneath the camera. Because Michaels and Baldwin were off-center, it was obvious they were reading from the cards, as they either had to turn their heads or eyes to read the cards. Since she was center stage, she looked more natural.

I missed this, I was still out and just checked the Rays-Sox score before going to bed.

I guess it wasn't a WWTBAM parody as I would have guessed from the first post. Tina Fey said "I'd like to use one of my lifelines" during her interview gag w/ Amy Poehler. Before that, the last WWTBAM parody I saw was a picture of Idol's David Archuleta with Phone-a-Dad as a lifeline.

I still don't get the cryptic comment about a llama on SNL. If that was intended to be a reference to Palin's performance, it makes no sense, since Bob posted it before the show actually happened.

I thought Palin was adequate in the role they created for her. Unlike most guests, she probably had only a few hours to rehearse and prepare, so they couldn't try anything very ambitious.

Actually, I had the script of the whole thing beforehand. They might even have taped that part early.

As for the llama, that was a poor joke.

It wasn't even a joke. For it to be a poor joke someone would have to have understood it and thought it funny.

However, for the few lines she had, she was much better tha Baldwin. Much.

I call BS. Only after you're chastised by those normally supportive of you do you come back with the "poor joke" attempt.

Put in context with your absolutely over the top, visceral hatred of McCain, and, especially, Palin, in every political thread ever run and you meant it exactly as you posted it.

You won't even stand your ground for your opening of the thread.

You were shown to be wrong.

Again.

Bob- can you explain what has happened in your life to make so so bitter and angry?

It can't be losing your job, because you were this way before you lost it.

I agree.

I thought Governor Palin did a fine job. The visual of her and Seth Meyers dancing in their seats while Amy Pohler rapped during Weekend Update was pretty funny.

I also enjoyed the Mark Wahlberg appearance, after his comments about not liking Andy Samberg's imitation.

I could have done without the Fartface sketch but, a pretty funny show.

I wonder if they had the Llama to use the in Mark Wahlberg skit, but ran out of time.
