WWTBAM Bored

I'm going to create this thread as a temporary reference, both to list all the recent changes that I've made to the Bored for those who haven't been around or might have forgotten, and as a place where people can mention problems or quirks they've found. Hopefully, by putting them all here, I won't miss any comments, and can address all concerns.

The addition of new Smilies is on my to-do list, so no one need mention that one (unless you'd like to link me to someplace where I can download a pack of smilies that you like.)

Also, I am aware of some of the problems that have been mentioned, such as links no longer opening up in a different tab or window (for now, right-click a link and select Open In New Tab/Window and DO NOT click a link when previewing a message.) If you haven't actually seen me acknowledge a concern at some point, post it in here, and I'll let you know if it's a) already fixed, b) being worked on, c) something I'm aware of, or d) never going to happen.

I've made this topic an Announcement, and I would appreciate the admins and moderators leaving it as such for the time being. I've set a time limit on it....it will automatically downgrade itself in 23 days, which (if I added correctly) is Sunday, November 9th. That's the first day of a week-long out-of-town trip for me, and should provide plenty of time for ironing out all the details. If there don't seem to be any pressing concerns left to deal with before then, I'll downgrade it myself.

OK, everyone, anything not working right? Changes you'd like to see made? Here's your thread, fire away. I probably won't be able to accommodate every single request, but I'll do my best with anything that is reasonable and realistic.

Still not receiving the automatic email notifications of responses to my posts, as I did before the upgrade. I've seen only one other bb mentioning the same quirk...

Just wondering, are the other recent posters out there receiving these emails?

Is it just Cindy and I that are not getting the emails? Could some other posters please confirm if they are indeed receiving them?

Good point, SC. I was thinking that almost everyone got them since the "yes" selection was the default setting... I realize now that I'm remembering incorrectly and it's the other way around.

Hopefully the feature will return one day; it was very convenient for this particular semi-airhead.

I've added this issue to my list. I looked into this one a bit when it was brought up the first time, and I honestly have no idea why it isn't working....as far as I can tell, it should be.

Is there any way to make the default (logged off) version of the Bored subsilver2? I don't stay logged in between visits, so that annoys me.... and if it annoys me, it should be taken are of immediately if not sooner.....

Whaddya mean, "between visits"? You're supposed to stay here all the time, 24-7, but not post so much that Kay has trouble keeping up with you.
