Sounds like an interesting concept - it seems that using Second Life-type avatars would be a possibility also.

The Brad Paisley song could become true for me: "I'm so much cooler online."

I wonder if they will make money on phone calls (texting) like American Idol and Deal or No Deal do.

That 99 cent texting surcharge seems to be an industry standard.

As long as the internet access is free and there's no subjectivity in selecting contestants with the more visually appealing avatars, I'll be content.

Has anyone told Davies that AOL (the horror!) beat him to it, by a couple of years?

Anyone remember "Gold Rush?"

That said, I thoroughly enjoyed that game, so if MD wants to reinvent the genre, I"m all for it.

There were a couple mighty big conditionals on that contentment, Pea.

And given his track record on WWTBAM, I'm not confident they'll be met.

Davies was involved in interactive game play even earlier. "Who Wants To Be a Millionaire" on ETV was a grand game.

I retired after making a killing on t-shirts.

I still have one of those shirts you shared.

I am still grateful.

Jeff and I still look for music when we see birds on electrical wires.

There is a Web site in beta testing called playcafe.com that I play where you play predict the poll and trivia games against other people live. There is a video stream that shows a host reading the questions and her interactions with her crew members. It "airs" nightly at 7 Eastern.
