I don't know if there has been a discussion on this before, but there is technically no such thing as a Nobel Prize in Economics. The correct name of the award is the "Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel".

But congratulations to Dr. Krugman, nonetheless. I've read a lot of his columns over the years and, in all honestly, he is just too damn smart for me.
