Interview in Philadelphia

I have an interview in Philadelphia on Thursday morning for a work promotion that would have me relocate from Long Island to the Philly area.

Wish me luck!

I guess the only really intimidating prospect is being a lifelong Giants fan and living in Philly or south Jersey. Eagles fans take no prisoners.

Good luck! Just find out which section the Giants fans sit in. I'm sure there are plenty who make the short trip over.

Good luck

Good luck. And congrats on working for a company that at least theoretically promotes, as opposed to hires from outside.

Good luck.

And all you gotta do is remind Eagles' fans that 3 > 0.

I do tht all the time (only, of course, I get to say that 5 > 0!)

Another BB in the Philly area; I liked LB's drawing. The Sunday night game in a couple of weeks should be really good, unless the Giants team from last night shows up. Then it could get really ugly really fast from our perspective.

My interview went well! They said they had at least two more interviews next week so I won't know until after then. I would start in mid-to-late November if chosen. So I'll be in touch with Melly and two other PA contacts really soon.

One major mishap yesterday: I came down on the train yesterday afternoon, and after getting off the R7 commuter train at Market East, right below my hotel, I discovered my wallet was missing. I knew what happened, it must have slipped out of my 'dressy' pants while I was seated. I called to report it but also traced that it went to the neighborhood of Chestnut Hill, and would return a little over an hour later. I asked the crewman if he saw a wallet, he didn't, but let me inside and I found it lying in the seat where it was. Someone had gone through it and took out the$20s (about $120 worth) but was nice enough to leave me the fivers and singles. Gotta find dressy pants with bigger pockets or at least ones with the opening only at the top instead of like 45 degrees. All my credit cards and drivers licence were there so I'm not calling three different banks to cancel and replace five cards, nor taking an emergency trip to the DMV for a replacement NYS drivers license that I might be trading in December for a PA or NJ one.

Thanks again for the interview vibes!

Gee, what a shock! Train riders are no better down in Philthy. Had to play too many #&@*( games in that &#*@ dump too!

I hope that &#*(@ lowlife that took your money falls off the platform the next time he tries to board the train....

At least it was only cash that was lost. Keep an eye on the card accounts for the near term, though. Savvy crooks just need the addition of the security number off the back to use the accounts online, and sometimes not even that.

Good luck with the job!

huh-- I wouldn't have even thought of that; good heads-up, GS!

Amazing that you found the wallet though, what a relief. Good luck on hearing good news about the job. :)
