New baby!

#1 Post by SportsFan68 » Fri Oct 10, 2008 9:45 pm

I'm going to try very hard to figure out how to post a photo of the cutest baby in the world, even though we're not actually related, except by love and tradition. His name is Matias and was born Oct. 8 at 1:02 a.m. He's a doll!

Wish me luck with the photo.

I can't wait to see the picture.

You can make the picture your avatar.

It was too big to be the avatar, and I couldn't figure out how to make it smaller.

I'll try again tomorrow.

Whew! I finally got something to work short of a photobucket account. I don't know how long I'll leave this avatar up.

That's Chica on the left, a champion Australian Cattle Dog, then Matias, then JoseB. Matias's mom adopted Chica when she retired from the show ring, so it was like a rescue. Her paper name isn't anything like Chica, but I think she prefers her Four Footer paper from Annie anyway. JoseB sort of adopted himself into the family, as cats sometimes do.

I was going to go visit Matias last weekend with his grandparents, but he had to go back in the hospital under the lights and bring his bilirubin levels down. We'll probably go over this weekend. He lives about three hours away, not far at all for grandparents and friends.

That is a very nice baby. I do hope those four-footers are baby-sitting Mr. Matias, and not arguing over who gets the drumsticks.

P.S. I was just teasing. Since those critters are members of the FFCC&OAS and, therefore, some of my best friends, I know they are excellent baby-sitters!

:D

I guarantee that Matias will never need to fear anything while Chica's around -- anything that she can protect him from anyway. She was distressed at Matias's uncle's wedding reception -- she kept trying to herd Matias's toddler cousins into a corner so they wouldn't get trampled by all those big two-footer adults.

Yes on Chica -- I don't know about HoseB as a baby-sitter. I think as long as Matias doesn't try to stake out his favorite napping spot by the heater, all will be well.
