The prospect of a President Obama should be enough to make anyone panic...

Nothing makes me think anymore.I just wait for the blame, and then send a bill.
Enough already. It's my fault! Get over it!

That'll be $10, please.

Quite a bit! Those who are seeing their 401(K) and individual investment accounts go in the tank are not going to vote Republican.

People buy and sell in anticipation of future events. Very often, when good or bad earnings for a quarter are actually announced, there is little movement in the stock's price, because the market had already bid the stock up or down in anticipation of the news.

I don't think people are selling now because of what they think is going to happen in the election. But if they are, since most people assume Obama is going to win, that would indicate little confidence in his ability to handle the crisis. For what it's worth, I have little faith in either candidate's ability to handle the situation. So much will depend on who gets picked for Secretary of the Treasury and how much freedom the new president gives the Secretary.

What would be the difference between a Secretary of Treasury that has a socialistic bent vs. one that has a free market bent?

Just asking.

Is this the new talking point that the GOP is trying to turn into a meme?

Because it's infected several other GOP sites already.

You guys will stop at NOTHING to make the economic woes a partisan matter.
