I went to reply to Rexer's post, hit submit, and go the screen like I had hit Preview... only I saw teh thread above it and saw that ear had just posted to it...

OK, so I hit submit again.... get the smae "Preview" screen, only this time now tubadave had added his reply....

Then i finally saw the message that "A new reply has been made to this thread since you hit the reply button, you may want to change your post in light of this"....

Sheesh, that's gonna suck in threads that get a lot of posts! Especially in game threads....

No, that's the report button for reporting a post in violation of our Bored rules.... which thankfully don't exist....

The "you can't post because a new post has been made" is a major annoyance. I ran into that on some other Board. It would take forever to get a post through when there was high volume traffic.

Whatever works....

BTW, ES is now one of YOUR aiders and abetters. He made my connection go out countless times while I was trying to help Dave with the upgrade.....

FYI....I believe I just succeeded in turning off this particular "feature" but I have no way of testing it. Someone let me know if this happens again.

The range of features and ability to customize them in phpBB 3 is really pretty remarkable. I'm still going through everything in the Admin Control Panel, and trying to learn what can be done and what can't. :!: :!: :!:

Can you give us chat?

Or Annie the ability to make a doggie smiley face?

Silly people aren't we?

I only gently tease because I am so happy to be here!

Even tho I have "yes" selected on receiving email notification of a reply to a post I've added to, I am not receiving them... Is anyone else having that problem?

I am getting used to the upgrades - change is always a b@%#&, but usually ends up being worth it in the longrun. Thanks sent to the Tuba man for his hard work.
