RIP (maybe) Linens 'n' Things
Just announced that rather than reorganize under Chapter 11, they'll be auctioning themselves off. The primary expected bidder (not named) plans to liquidate them. Other bidders have expressed interest and may keep some stores open.
Dang. We have done our part to keep them going. One of our favorite stores. GW will not be happy to hear this.

I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Maybe I'll bid. I have a 40% coupon I can use.gsabc wrote:Just announced that rather than reorganize under Chapter 11, they'll be auctioning themselves off. The primary expected bidder (not named) plans to liquidate them. Other bidders have expressed interest and may keep some stores open.

..what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? let them take arms.

I agree with you. I am sad because I am guessing this may mean an end to the BB&B coupons too...with no competition anymore. I will have to stockpile them, this is worse than a shortage of toilet paper! I need my BB&B coupons!!!christie1111 wrote:BB&Beyond is my fav.
But sory to see them go. I use their coupons at BB&B.
I just last week used my last LNT store credit, I figured this might happen sooner or later and I was trying to sever the ties. But BB&B always has better stuff so it was hard to force myself to buy something at LNT.

Ours already closed. I got a great deal on a couple of pictures. I hesitated getting the margarita machine, so I wasn't pleased when I went back the next day and it was gone.gsabc wrote:Just announced that rather than reorganize under Chapter 11, they'll be auctioning themselves off. Right now their former location has been rented to a company that is a Halloween Bootique. (hee hee)
