"Well, I'm back..."

For anyone who was curious about my absence, I have been busily engaged in trying to catch up on all the reports we were unable to do for six weeks as well as deal with new issues as the end of the fiscal year approached. Well, I've eliminated the backlog of reports and the new fiscal year has begun.

Just catching up a little, I got the first gus on our new Prius (1000 miles); my darling elwing will have a booth at a local craft fair this weekend; my married son and his wife were robbed; we're enjoying our empty nest status.

Any earth-shattering events among the BB community?

I hope they're okay, if shaken by the event. Anything significant or irreplaceable taken?

No. They were on a street corner near their apartment and a young man on a bicycle came up and asked if they had change for a dollar. My daughter-in-law took out her change purse and the young man grabbed it and took off on the bicycle. My son, gallant to a fault but not necessarily using the best common sense, chased after the thief. The bicycle slipped the chain so the thief jumped off and kept running; my son confiscated the bicycle. The change purse had $30-40 in it, which they really can't afford to lose, living on the edge as it were, but they are unharmed and have a "new" bike to show for their experience.

Wow!

But a better story than I was envisioning.

I'm sorry for your son's loss, ear, but I know who is to blame: see here

I'll bet the bike was stolen too.

The answer to just about any question posed by a stranger on the street is "No".

Unless his bicycle had a meter on it.
