i did mucho driving around western pa the last week.I saw Obama signs on the lawns of old money mansions in pgh, and mccain signs in front of tar paper shacks and trailers in the hinterlands.
this dont make sense to me.
i intuited the trailer types arent republicans because they like a low capital gains tax rate, but identify with the gop as a counterweight to city types who favour the democrats.
i see this being true in pa,ny and illinois.It all makes sense to me now.Country folk want a seat at the table, and not the crumbs left over if they were aligned with the metro areas.
I intuit when pgh was a republican city before fdr, the sticks were for the democrats.

All I know is I read that Richard Fuld got punched by a guy at his gym after he testified re:Lehman. I don't advocate violence, but, boy, I'd like to meet that guy.

Ritual stoning. Like those massages one gets at those swanky spas. Yeah. Like that.

Someone in congress told AIG's Sullivan "Shame on you". He was asked if he was going to give back any or all of the $5 million performance bonus he got. He said no.

This is why I continue to be surprised that some enterprising lawyers haven't filed lawsuits against these CEOs and members of the boards of directors for malfeasance. They clearly weren't acting on behalf of their stakeholders. Either the bosses knew things were going south and defrauded the public, or else didn't know and should have, which amounts to not performing their expected duties and the same charge.
