You avatar makes me giggle.
Do you know if that photo is really real?
Do you know if that photo is really real?
Yes, I rather thought it might, given your own avatar!peacock2121 wrote:You avatar makes me giggle.

He seems very happy, and The Queen seems, umm, slightly aroused.tanstaafl2 wrote:Yes, I rather thought it might, given your own avatar!peacock2121 wrote:You avatar makes me giggle.

I do not know if it is real or not but supposedly it is. Indeed, the tradition, even requirement, in Scottish regiments, so I have been told, was to go commando. It used to be part of the inspection process to check. Not so anymore but the "tradition" seems to be holding...
The following picture on that page is even more amusing but perhaps not for those easily offended...Spoiler

When Mel Gibson was giving interviews for "Braveheart", he said that the typical Scotsman's answer for the question "What do you wear under your kilt?" is "Your mother's lipstick!"tanstaafl2 wrote:Yes, I rather thought it might, given your own avatar!peacock2121 wrote:You avatar makes me giggle.

It looks to me as if the unadorned photo is the one that's been altered. His leg is whiter there than the rest of his leg.PlacentiaSoccerMom wrote:

There might have been some enhancements.

I'm with you, beast. I didn't even know she was talking to tan until I read through the thread.littlebeast13 wrote:I just had an epiphany... the same kind I had a couple years ago when someone mentioned what NE1410S's handle stood for and I had no idea the first three or four yeras on the Bored.....
When Pea called Tan the "No Free Lunch Guy", I wondered how she knew about Tan's logo in the BBBL.
Then it finally clicked what the "Tanstaafl" handle stood for....
There are times when I'll make a connection long before anyone else is able to, and then there are times like this when I can be utterly clueless for years and years until someone else unwittingly drops a hint....

Yeah, pretty much all the ones mentioned in this thread, I'm even starting to wonder about my own name.MarleysGh0st wrote:Any ones in particular you don't get?traininvain wrote:OK, I feel realy stupid, I still don't get any of the handles meanings.
tanstaafl has already been explained. That phrase is generally used when discussing economics/politics.traininvain wrote:Yeah, pretty much all the ones mentioned in this thread, I'm even starting to wonder about my own name.MarleysGh0st wrote:Any ones in particular you don't get?traininvain wrote:OK, I feel realy stupid, I still don't get any of the handles meanings.
