OK. I'm not here. Nor am I gratuitous. But some potatoes au gratin sound pretty good.

Pretty funny really!

Uh Oh. I didn't know who was playing USC.

Want to enlighten me since I started you a thread of you own?

No, I meant their devolution from #1 to, um, whatever. We've all been there and done that.

(OU is #1 right now.)

While some of the potatoes didn't get done just right enough, the majority of the casserole is killer. Crispy and juicy and it will be absolutely stellar tomorrow.

I'll email you some.

Oh, yeah, I know who is number one! Some Peeps on the Bored are happy. I haven't looked at the other scores this weekend though.

Email is prolly better. That interoffice envelope would prolly be a bit messy.

Is the recipe in the book?

Nope. This was my own personal bastardization of au gratin potatoes. Sort of a toned-down version of the book thing, which is way too labor intensive, although disgustingly good. I have decided that crushing seven garlic cloves and adding them to the container of sour cream is an inspired portion of the recipe. Dang. It's just good. I didn't hashbrown the potatoes either.

Oky, that sounds like a keeper. PM what you can when you can please!

Yum, seven cloves of garlic in sour cream can't be bad on much of anything.

Received. I will give due credit. Sounds awesome.

Do you ever microwave potatoes? When they are as done as I would like, a quick zap has saved me more that once.

I also like to microwave baking potatoes first and then finish in the oven to crisp up. Really shortens baking time.

Sorry, the Martha in me can not be supressed.

I have, and the next time I make this that's what I'm going to do. It's so much easier than messing with the water and the pan, etc. I will chop them suckers up and cut the time in half.
It's a good thing.
