This was previously posted by MarleysGh0st under the topic "Who is Cat Deeley?" Since some boarders might have skipped over it, looking instead for posts that are specifically about "Millionaire", I thought I'd post it here as well. BuzzerBlog is now reporting on this as well.
The host of the American version of "So You Think You Can Dance", as well as a popular TV personality in the UK, is rumored to be succeeding Meredith Viera as the new host of "Millionaire", either next season or the following season.
According to the UK tabloid The Daily Mirror, Deeley has taped a guest-hosting stint on an upcoming episode. The Mirror reports that "she wowed Disney-ABC so much that they are offering her more than a million pounds a year to be the new host of the show."
Viera reportedly wants out to spend more time on her work with NBC, presumably co-hosting their "Today Show" weekday morning series.

Again, this is currently a rumor, and has not been confirmed or denied.
"Millionaire" is currently slated as renewed through to at least the 2010-2011 season, again according to BuzzerBlog.

Any word on when Deeley's episode is airing? Thanks.

You have no source for this. I would say it's doubtful Meredith would host a weekend show as well as a weekday show given her oft-stated desire for a normal family life. Also, it's Vieira. It won't be one episode. As with all Millionaire guest host stints, it will be for a week. No official word yet as to the air dates.Brit Canuck wrote:Any word on when Deeley's episode is airing? Thanks.
Do consider the fact that this first surfaced in the Mirror. Not that it's a bad paper, but it would be an easy place for associates of Cat to drop a story rumour to increase her market value as a television presenter. Maybe she wants more money out of SYTYCD.
