I wanted to give a public thanks to Frogman for including me in his WWTBAM celebration on Thursday evening. It was a big success, and a good time was had by all. Jay's friends include a couple who have a nice big house with a home theater room, so they provided the venue. There was a big turnout, with lots of kids, though I never quite figured out how many of them were Jay and Leslie's. Trivia questions were asked and prizes were won. Then the show began. Some people knew how it turned out and others did not. Everyone was impressed with Jay's performance and I didn't hear anyone say that they would have known the $50K answer.
Being a good sport, Jay served up a big batch of homemade poutine after the show. I don't know how closely it resembled what you'd get on the streets of Montreal or Ottawa, but I had several bites of it and thought it was pretty good. There was also a nice cake with a WWTBAM logo, and various other goodies.
I think many former contestants would agree that having a viewing party with friends is often one of the best parts of the WWTBAM experience. Regardless of how well you do on the show, any future contestants should follow the Frogman's example and have a good time with the final chapter of your Millionaire quest.
