At first, it bugged me that certain phrases were being repeated. Then I decided it was intentional -- to increase the odds that channel surfers (and viewers of news clips to come) would hear those catch phrases.

Yeah. If you read Paul Begala's excellent article about debate preps, it makes much sense.
And he finally confirmed something I'd long suspected -- that John Kerry was given laugh lines by some jokewriters, but turned them down. If he'd just tried to lighten up a bit, who knows?

I can only hear it, not see it, but they made a big production of putting all the TVs on the same channel because sometimes there's a tiny lag that is excruciating if you're between TVs. But I don't know if they settled on C-Span or CNN or something else.mellytu74 wrote:What happened to my reply??
