I am begging...

For some civility following the debate, regardless of what happens. That's all I wanted to say.

Well, sunflower, I'll try.

But I think it will be contentious, no matter what.

Some people just don't think that two months in the National League is long enough time for Manny Ramirez to win NL MVP. No matter HOW good his numbers.

And some people do.

And just won't budge on it.

It's a nasty, nasty debate.

Manny is a ****. (wow Otto is awake tonight!) I'd have a hard time voting for him even holding my nose.

BTW, congrats on your Phils one game away from the NLCS!

Drea-ea-ea-ea-eam, dream, dream, dream.
Drea-ea-ea-ea-eam, dream, dream, dream.

When Dems want you in their arms,
When Reps want you and all your charms,
Whenever they want you, all you have to do is,
Drea-ea-ea-ea-eam, dream, dream, dream.

When Sarah feels blue in the night,
Alaska calls with all it's might,
Whatever John tells her, all she has to do is,
Ree-ee-ee-ee-peat.

Joe can take his time,
Words oh so devine,
Anytime night or day.
Only trouble is, gee whiz,
The clock it was ticking away.

Rights and wrongs, they can't agree.
We love them so, uneasily,
Whenever they want you, all you have to do is,
Drea-ea-ea-ea-eam, dream, dream, dream.
Drea-ea-ea-ea-ea-ea-eam.

Drea-ea-ea-ea-eam, dream, dream, dream.

Hey, I kept saying that I hoped the Phillies didn't get him at the trade deadline.

I thought their clubhouse chemistry was too good to ruin it, no matter how much he might add to the lineup.

I don't agree with Crybaby Curt Schilling on much but I agree with him on the whole drama of "Manny being Manny."

As far as the Phillies themselves, the first two games have been lots of fun to listen to (yesterday) and watch (today).

It's amazing that they are up 2-0 and Ryan Howard hasn't put the ball in play yet. Everything has been a walk or a strikeout.
