Meredith scolds contestant today (mild spoiler)

#1 Post by Bob Juch » Thu Sep 25, 2008 10:34 am

HSer was talking so much he almost ran out of time on the $100 question.

Meredith hit him with her checks and said, "Don't do that again!"

These folks who taped before the season began should have been allowed to watch those ahead of them in the hot seat. It seems that the instructions about the clock didn't sink in too well with some of them, and they're behaving as if it isn't there.
I just ordered chicken and an egg from Amazon. I'll let you know.

Ogi is today's expert. Either they put this one out of order or Ogi had to substitute.

She can slap me with her checks anytime.

Don't look if you don't want to be spoiled.
Spoiler
Aren't Martha's Vineyward and Nantucket and Hyannis and their ferry system part of Massachusetts?

I'd hit her back and say "if you don't like it get rid of the damn clock!"

Just goes to show how off I would have been - I would have discounted everything Ogi said after saying he didn't know of any ferry system in Massachesetts and I woulda left with my 50K

Too bad on me.

Agreed. TPTB are so concerned about the risk of someone's energy going down because of witnessing a disappointing run by someone else in the Hot Seat that they've ignored the need to witness the new rules in action. So now they get a legal briefing, crammed in with a lot of other stuff during the morning and they can watch one (?) contestant while they're in the On Deck seat.

Throw out the videotapes and turn the live feed back on in the green room, TPTB!

Yikes! "Largest" by what measure? Total number of passengers per year? Total distance of the ferry routes? Total passenger miles?

And, of course, that damned clock is counting down while those thoughts go through one's mind...

When I first read that I thought it said "cheeks". For a delicious picosecond, I'm thinking they really have sexed up the new program.
Spoiler
BTW, answer to the q has to be Washington state, no? Most of the time you can't even commute around Seattle without taking a freaking ferry.

I think you need a spoiler since there are people here who haven't seen the show yet. And I too want to know what does "large" mean?
