I've had that happen to me. I've started reading the question twice before I answer. I also make sure that when I click on a choice, the answer I want is marked. (I lose on time, but at least I know that I will get the 1,000 points for the day.)

Also I've stopped second-guessing my first thought for the answer.

Very frustrating month. I have not missed a single question and am in 20th place or so. I am currently in South Africa and the internet is slllllllllllllllllllllllllllow here. I am lucky to clear 1100 pts on a correct question, and usually get something like 1070, with uncanny regularity. Here's hoping Kaufman flounders!

I'm ahead of somebody? Must be something wrong! I totally suck at getting a question quickly. Although I don't miss tons of them. I certainly get my share wrong.

I knew one right away yesterday and it still took me 4.85 seconds to answer it!

Argh! I'm 1510. Note to self: While fixing your gaze on the correct answer, don't click on the wrong one.

I expect to drop right off this list by tomorrow. For my birthday, Sploofus gave me five tokens and an error message when I answered my question.

I really screwed the pooch today. I saw the "Movies and TV" category come up and I decided to redeem one of my wager tokens.

Stoopid Sploofus stuck me with an obscure question about "Matrix Reloaded" (which I have never seen). I gave the wrong answer and lost 55,555 tokens and .2 ranks.

The inevitable finally happened today - I got a question correctly answered by 4.6 percent, and I fell confidently into the other 95.4 percent

The descent begins!

That means only that we have to drink quickly and more often. As I said, gooooood parties.

I am so sorry.

You are dealing with it just fine - no matter how you are dealing, it is the way you are dealing. Let yourself deal. Don't make yourself wrong. Just deal.

My heart is with you.

She's been losing weight, but I just assumed that it was nerves because Jasper is a big tub of lard who enjoys harassing her. She had her regular visit yesterday and she had lost a pound and a half since last year, so they ran tests yesterday.

Emma went in with me today because we brought the other cats in for their yearly shots and was with me when I got the results. I held it together for her, but once Jeff got home, I locked myself in my room with Lucy and have been crying

They are going to take her in for urine tests tomorrow and so then the vet will know a bit more about what to do.

She's only nine years old. She's the only cat that I have owned that Jeff said that I could have. She was a Mother's Day gift in 1999, I rescued her from an Arizona Animal Rescue Shelter before we moved back to California.

I know that I shouldn't have favorites, but she's just a good cat. She doesn't bite or beg for food, she just plops herself down next to us and wants to be loved.

Get well vibes to Lucy. They can do amazing things with animals today. Give her an extra rub on the head from me.

Sounds eerily similar to my week.

Zoe, our 'alpha' cat has been diagnosed with Chronic Renal Failure for about a year now. Recently, she has been acting weaker, but, being 18 yo, we didn't think this too serious. Then, earlier this week, she was having great difficulty walking.

Long story short, Tuesday - bloodwork. Wednesday - weighing options. Today, the start of 3 days of treatment. Normally, it is inpatient treatment, but Zoe gets depressed easily, so it is outpatient so she won't die overnight.

My vet is good, but not convenient. The good news is, if it works, we could have years left. Unfortunately, there is no way to tell if it will work. She does seem much improved, so we are hopeful.

The good news for Lucy is that she could have several good years left, with treatment. CRF is incurable, but its progress can be significantly slowed. Just stay positive.

And keep her out of Jeff's garden of poisons.

Bless your heart. I read up on that during Dub's most recent bladder/kidney stone adventure.

She may can go awhile longer if you can hydrate her under the fatty skin on her back. And if you don't mind occasional leaky accidents, which we have had for a while anyway even without CRF.

But if she does not want to do all that, she will let you know. I am very sorry, and I hope it is as painless as possible for all of you.

Do not try to avoid feeling bad. You have to do it, and then at some point it won't feel bad anymore.
