The people of your state have an obligation to spend money on federal policies even if they don't like them, just as my tax dollars are used to prop up Planned Parenthood, which I would not contribute to if I had a choice. Just as an avowed pacifist has to pay some of his tax money to the military. Just as you contribute to the salary of your beloved Donny, which for all his supposed greed, he donates. And many other things people pay for but totally disagree with on the state and local levels. But there's remedy. Answer number 4. Change the fucking law, and good luck with that. You know that won't ever happen which is why you're so emotional about it. Until then you and your imaginary disciples are in the wrong and a good percentage of this country disagrees with you despite your fervant passion.

You did not answer my question, which was quite specific. My question is whether the people of California have an obligation to spend STATE tax dollars and expend STATE resources to enforce federal priorities with which they disagree.

I'll give you a hint. The Supreme Court has recently and squarely answered this question, and the answer is no. Which is (among other things) why the Medicare expansion (which Congress made mandatory for the states when it passed the Affordable Care Act) is in fact optional.

The questions I posed to you were most certainly Yes or No questions.
