I prefer texts when I'm someplace loud like a theme park--it's hard to hear what someone is saying when there are crowds and music blaring. I'm guessing they were just talking about you behind your back...

Now that I think about it, I believe the two of them are almost the exact same age. Coincidence?

Funny side note: My nephew was over the other day doing yard work for me. Since I never have cash, I wrote him a check since the bank was right down the street. He takes the check, looks at it askance and says "Hello Kitty??? How old are you??

That's the best of all possible worlds! Your team gets the four wins, but your average goes down a few points and that helps you next week!

Do guys get a cup for a 500 series? As I recall, BITD, women got one for a 500 but men had to wait until they got 550 for one.

I do most of the check-writing, but he'll stroke one for the baseball league and the church (I'm a heathen who likes to sleep in...)

He would never pay cash for anything, always wrote a check. Reason being, most people would keep it as a souvenir and never cash it. So he'd get whatever for free.

I thought for a second my nephew was going to scoff at presenting an HK check to the teller at the bank. Unfortunately I couldn't pull a Cary Grant, my sister is the manager of the main branch so he could have just given it to her to cash for him.

And that is why they have Disney Dollars! I got paid 40 of them once to watch a video at WDW, and I spent those suckers like they were expiring soon. No way I was taking home a 10 buck piece of paper as a souvenir.

I owed Stephen 5 dollars and he wanted a poker chip from the Rio instead. Now he has to wait 4 more years if he actually wants the cash, or he has to give it back to me...

Oh, yeah. Yearbooks are a money-maker. They've gone from 13 bucks and paperback when Stephen was in elementary school to hardback and they're asking for 20 this year!!! No kids get to work on it, either. They gave me the name of the woman in charge and I had never heard of her, which is highly unusual after having 11 years' of kids enrolled there. At the private school I at least get the yearbook with the tuition money. I won't call it free, but it's included as is lunch, so I'm sure my two chowhounds get my money's worth somehow...

I doubt I get anything for a 500 series. I certainly hope not anyway. And my average did not drop, it stayed the same since I was still 6 pins over....
