For me, the highlight of last night's show was the "Lost" teaser at the end of the program.

I'd still love a chance to play this game and "Press" these guys who can't figure out that the opposite side of the Northern Hemisphere has to be someplace in the Southern Hemisphere.

I thought the pace was faster - I didn't use the FF button much.

I also thought the questions were easier than the first night.... I know if you know it, you know it.

How can someone married to a Jew not know how many nights there are in Hanukkah? really?!?

The "girl power" thing made me snicker.

Anyone know if tonight is 90 minutes as well?

Thanks for letting me know what the little tivo people say.

I think I will set it up for 90 minutes, just in case.

I hope Duel returns. It's far better than the Shatner show last year. Too bad Bill isn't the host - it would be no more drug out, and he could dramatically say "Shield ... Up!" before each question.

I think the host is a drawback right now, but has promise. Here's hoping the ratings are up by Sun. But it's even 3rd on my list that night, after the Vikings game and TAR, so good luck.

I hope many BBs get a shot at this in '08!

Ratings for Duel have been consistently below NBC's competing Clash of the Choirs, which may indicate people are more in a mood for gospel music this time of year. Neither show has been getting really impressive ratings however, and both have fallen below CBS programming Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday (I don't have Thursday's ratings yet), Duel did beat CBS' Frosty the Snowman specials.

This is not the type of ratings that get network programmers excited. It will be interesting to see how the 2008 glut of reality shows fare as a whole. I think we'll see a lot of snoozer ratings for most of these shows as audiences just tune the whole process out.

I expect the shows did not test well so ABC decided to dump them during this week of low viewership.

Thursday's overnight ratings for Duel were not good either. It finished fourth in its time slot, well behind a CSI repeat on CBS and also behind Clash of the Choirs and Fifth Grader.

Unless this strike goes on a really long time, don't expect to see it back.

<sigh>

And I actually skipped 5th Grader this week to watch Duel, instead.

I'll tell TPTB again: stop dragging everything out and start using the online game to let folks actually qualify for the show, and you could still salvage this one!

It's all his fault. That'll be $10.

Question for someone who listens to Mike & Mike in the morngin:

Does Greenwhatever talk about the future of Duel? Does he hint at an ongoing gig for himself? Or is it kind of a "well, I gave it a shot" type of thing?
Enough already. It's my fault! Get over it!

That'll be $10, please.

Both Duel and Clash of the Choirs were designed to air this week from the outset. Networks are now looking at this week to try stunts since Deal or No Deal surprised everybody two years ago. Since Duel taped at the end of November, and the non-live parts of Clash of the Choirs taped in early December, it's not likely either show was audience tested.
