Oh damn! I forgot about that.... :(

I'm sorry starfish, if you're reading this....

I mostly remembered because I am also going to give Mickey all my money soon, and although my grandma is quite feisty and active at 90, I just found out yesterday she's in the hospital and will go to rehab afterwards. Mostly to keep her from disobeying doctor's instructions which is what got her into the hospital in the first place, but what else would you expect from someone related to me...?

I can only look on in amazement when people talk about their parents/grandparents still kicking in their 80's and 90's. Nobody in my family makes it that long. My only surviving grandparent is 75, and if she makes it to 80, it'll be a blessed miracle.

I may as well live it up now, because I'm sooooo doomed..... :(

lb13
I never had a grandfather, what with the war and all. I never met my mother's mother since she lived in another country. I think she made it to about 65.

This grandma is the living illustration of The Squeaky Wheel Gets the Grease. She still hasn't gotten over the fact that hers was a breech birth.

NINETY YEARS AGO!!! She could give some of those Middle Eastern countries fighting over shit that happened 6 centuries previously a run for their money...

Sheesh, why would she even know that?

Unfortunately, my three deceased grandparents all died of (non-cancerous) natural causes.... at 66, 59, and 43. Between them and my Dad's laundry list of health problems, everytime I have to get a new doctor, I just love the look they get on their face when they look over the family history I filled out.....

I guess I can't actually account for all of my great grandparents (I am no BobJ when it comes to even simple geneology), but I know the pair who lived here both died in their 70's, just a month apart from each other....

Yeah, but that two cents would buy you a brand spanking new Model T! Or a dozen roses for my darling Kiki! Or a Senate seat from Governor Blago....
Yes, I said uphill BOTH ways, you darn whippersnappers!

Damn, people, I'm just trying to find the standings here! My scrolling finger is already sprained and I have found nuffing.
We, the HK Brigade, do hereby salute you, Marley, for your steadfast devotion to ontopicosity. Well done, sir!

My mom had three kids. I was the longest labour, clocking in at 16 minutes.

I don't know if she was just blessed or we couldn't wait to get away from her. Ha!

They induced Erin, and she wasn't ready to leave. Probably still isn't. She ends up in my bed every morning. Usually around 5:30 am. Then when I get up to get the kids off to school, she stumbles out and asks me to come back and sleep with her. Which explains why I show up late here more often...

As you can tell, we are now exactly halfway through the Winter Lyrically Speaking Extravaganza. While the contest is not as tight as it was almost all of last season, the second half is slightly more point-heavy than the first, so there's still plenty of scoring to be done......
