For a long time Guinness said it was some prop drum on the stage at Disney World. I thought that was a complete rip-off.

This drum in Nepal looks like a winner to me.

Oh, and "Perdue" is chicken, not a university.
The Perdue/Purdue thing once lead me to understand how many porn sites were at the University. I typed in the 'e' version into Google. I would like to think it was a student but still! There were links that pointed to just about every possible variation I ever imagined. At least the extension seemed to display the suggestions of these things. I wasn't about to click on any of them! But I admit that the Rock of Love (or whatever one that was) also opened my eyes!

I was trying to report a Perude chicken truck for cuting me off on I-95 while driving a mini-van with a child in it. The phone call to Purdue was treated extremely well. Apparently they take safety very seriously and took down alot of information. They also said the driver gets called in person to person. They don't handle those types of complaints with a phone call.

Whether it is true or not, I felt good with the resolution.

And a bit concerned with the students of Purdue!
Did those porn sites feature chickens?

That's not what I was thinking....
Squirrels are the architects of forests, the planters of trees, nature's own acrobats and show a zest for life that can inspire us. Every day should be National Squirrel Appreciation Day!

Many of these (squirrel) migrations were probably caused by food shortages as well as habitat overcrowding. We solved that for them. We not only reduced their habitat, we reduced the whole species by about 90%. The least we can do now is share a little birdseed with them.

Book question two days in a row which is usually a strength but down for the count two days in a row.

I'm confused by this post. You say you typed the "e" version into Google but then you say that you were pointed to porn sites at the University. How did you get from "Perdue" to porn sites at Purdue University?

And this sentence has me completely bewildered " I would like to think it was a student but still! " No idea what that means.

And then you say that your call to Purdue was treated well. Why did you call Purdue once you got all those porn sites? And why did Purdue take down the details and call in a driver?

BTW, if I Google Purdue or Perdue I don't get any porn sites.
No matter where you go, there you are.

OCDer you have a PM.

---Jay (If you go back this number of years, fully write out the year on a piece of paper, rotate it 180 degrees, you will still see the same year. If you then rotate it another 180 degrees, it will still be the same, if you keep rotating it over and over to see if it changes, you might have OCD - if you can figure out what number to subtract from the current year to get this effect, you will have the number of days until my scheduled aid date (Note to the anal-compulsive - there are a lot of numbers that are possible solutions, I'm looking for the smallest such number))

Sorry AJ. I thought you were enough of a regular BB to recognize my charter membership to ESST!

My bad, substitute the appropriate Perdue/Purdue to make the story make sense. If that is even possible.

I wasn't even drinking.

Oh wait, now I know what I did wrong!

:D

But wait, I better go to Sploofus first. I think I still do better at the quizzes sober, even if posting on the Bored suffers!

Tonight I had to say which was not one of the original Lucky Charms shapes/colors. We were never allowed to eat sugared cereals, so I had no idea, although I assumed the green clover was a must, given the name.

I was torn between orange stars, which I thought might have been a complex shape for a cereal shape machine, and pink hearts, which I think pink might not be a good color for cereal.

I was kind-of glad it was neither - there were no blue diamonds in Lucky Charms.

I've managed 2 correct SWAGs in a row after getting hosed on the gimme the other day.

Of course, that's probably still not enough to get me in the Top 3,000, let alone the new cutoff.....
